The Defenders of Awesome series has a big reputation and these boards back it up. As winners of the most coveted design award in snowboarding for an unprecedented seven years in a row, this model became our #1 selling snowboard and one of the most sought-after snowboards in the world. The D.O.A. features a next-generation hybrid camber design that delivers the pop and response of a cambered board with the predictability of reverse camber and is now available in an extended range of larger sizes. New for 2021, Capita has further enhanced this iconic series with an all-new Dual Blaster V2 Core™ featuring a premium blend of Paulownia striping integrated into a proven Poplar woodcore. With additional construction technology like Fortress™ Kevlar Bound Sidewalls and a high-speed Quantum Drive™ base advancing these boards beyond their modest retail price, the D.O.A. series stands proud as the ultimate go anywhere, do anything freestyle deck.
Dual Blaster V2 Core: New for 2022! Replacing Ash with Paulownia found in premium boards makes the core even lighter!
Fortress Kevlar Bound Sidewalls: Flyweight kevlar provides heavy duty protection and vibration dampening.
Carbon Fiber Boosters: Increasing power and response while remaining ultralight.
Special Blend Fiberglass + Magic Bean Resin: Custom weighted Biaxial top / Biaxial bottom = increased strength and durability. Impregnated with reformulated, high performance plant based MAGIC BEAN™ RESIN.
Quantum Drive Base: Harder, stronger, faster, the Quantum Drive™ base is an updated sintered ultra-high molecular weight, ultra-high density polyethylene—the Millenium Falcon of bases, just got turbo charged.
Blended Radial Sidecut: A single radius arc through the midsection of the board combined with a custom designed blend zone at the contact points. Varying the length of these blend zones and tailoring them specifically for certain aspects of riding greatly improves the board's performance.
Multitech Level 4 DeepSpace Silkscreen +
PAM16000 Topsheet with Metallic Underlay: Mad Scientist at the Mothership approved. 16000 jet nozzles create a solventless, water based, UV ink, with deadly accuracy and quality.
Sublimated Base: As base material is thicker and more opaque than topsheets, graphics become more vibrant when ink impregnates the material as opposed to other techniques where the ink is applied to one side or the other. Through sublimation, ink sits closer to the sliding surface and this technique excels when full colors are required.
PLT Topsheet Technology: Produces a featherlight, smooth, high-gloss finish, without the poisonous deadweight. Exclusive to Capita MFG, this process magically bonds the topsheet to an already pressed snowboard.
360 Degree HRC48 Steel Edges: Steel edges that run all around the board.
Full ABS1000 Sidewalls: Very dense plastic that protects the core of the snowboard from water, rocks etc. and adds an element of torsional rigidity.
Stainless Steel 4 x 2 Inserts
Hybrid Camber (Camber Dominant)
Camber between your feet for precision and pop with rocker outside of your inserts for a catch free, float ready ride.
The RESORT V1 Profile boards take full advantage of the benefits of traditional camber, zero camber, and reverse camber. This next generation design allows you to get the pop and response of a cambered board with all the predictability and easy turn initiation of zero camber or reverse camber shapes.
A completely symmetrical shape, which thrives in a variety of freestyle situations. At the core of its design, the twin shape features an identical nose and tail shape, which provides an identical feel and predictable maneuverability whether riding regular or switch. Although originally developed with park riders in mind, twin shapes have also grown to be embraced by many all-mountain riders that like to bring a skateboard style riding out of the park and onto the entire mountain.
5.5 (Scale 1-10)
Versatility at its finest. From the park to the peak and anywhere in between.
High-end base material that is harder, more durable, and faster than extruded bases.
